fort77 software package provides Invoke f2c like a real compiler, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fort77
fort77 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fort77 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fort77 *
You will get with fort77 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
